I`ll never forget bonfire night in 1984 as we returned home for the evening to find that the family home had been burgled. Mum and dad were visibly shaken as you would expect and even though I was only in my early teens, I still remember that feeling of anger and disgust at the thieves. It`s a sad state of affairs but we have to invest in items like burglar alarms and cctv security systems if we want to look after our property. The days of not having any security measures in place have long since gone: now it`s a case of installing such measures as a matter of precaution. The modern cctv systems are far more refined than they used to be and the images captured on them are truly amazing. Link them up to video or dvd recorders and you can capture any wrongdoings to be used as evidence later on. Businesses have been installing the systems for a number of years now and private homes have also started to have the equipment installed. You just never know when the cameras might come in handy and you`ll call on their services in the future. There are a number of different cctv security systems that can be fitted from traditional types of cameras to covert items that can be used for surveillance purposes. It might sound a bit MI5-like but covert cameras are brilliant for catching out rogue members of staff that might be up to no good. It`s not just the outside of buildings that can put the cctv to good use either because in certain circumstances it can be required indoors as well. Shops can use this type of technology to deter shoplifters whilst companies can use covert cameras if they think that one of their employees is up to no good. Think about it from a thieves point of view; they`d much rather break into a premises that didn`t have a cctv installation than one that did. If you think that you can get away with not having a cctv system working at your business premises then good luck to you. The sensible firms make sure they have effective systems in place and the consequences of failing to do so can be severe. With prices of a cctv installation starting very reasonably it seems foolish not to take advantage of this type of technology
